1. Tell us about yourself

I was born in Incheon, South Korea near the airport. When I was at 10, my family moved to Torrance, CA and we lived there for 5 years. Then I returned to Korea, finished my education and also served in the Korean Army. Currently, I work for Korean airlines as manager in DFW airport. 3 Years ago, I also worked in Moscow, Russia as same job and compared to that experience, my life is great here especially because the warm weather and crossfit. I’ve been married for 5 years and we have a 2 year old daughter. Regretfully, my company has called me back to HQ, so I’ll be leaving back to Korea soon. But I will always remember the good times, the best coaches and the wonderful people of Crossfit 3040.

2. Why did you decide to pursue Crossfit?

I’ve tried crossfit for 5 months in Korea and really liked it. And I always wanted to experience ‘The ‘Real’ crossfit in the States. After I knew I was going to work at Texas, first thing I did was to look for a crossfit gym.

3. How long have you been a member of Crossfit3040?

Year! (I came to DFW on August,2017)

4. What is your favorite benchmark/hero Wod and why?

“Fran” – Simple but very intense

5. What do you consider your proudest moment or greatest accomplishment at Crossfit3040?

Doing the first HSPU during the Open! Finishing the Open by RX – I was really nervous before doing the workouts but really felt good after finishing it and especially felt better when accomplishing any new skill.

6. How has getting in shape changed your life?

Healthier body, better fit on clothes, high confidence.

7. What are some of your favorite things to do outside of Crossfit?

Bar hopping with friends, PUBG(game), tennis, swimming, make cocktails, Korean spa
